STATUE OF ZEUS WITH THE SCULPTOR

STATUE OF ZEUS WITH THE SCULPTOR

One day, a sculptor went to buy marble to make a statue. He looked around and said, ‘It’s a very beautiful marble, I shouldn’t miss it.’ He bought it immediately and brought it to his workshop.

The sculptor said: ‘What should be done about this?’ ‘A god? A table? I must’.

He thought and finally made his decision: ‘He will be a god, and he will have a lightning bolt in his hand. “And those who see it will lie on the ground in fear,” he said.

The artist sculpted it day and night, so that those who saw it could not find any flaws in the statue.

In fact, so much so that the sculptor got chills when he saw the statue for the first time. “He was afraid of the god he made.”

In the past, poets were afraid of their own creatures, the gods.
